Weavers in action: The making of Dark Squares Throw
Next year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Zuzunaga's collaboration with Teixidors and to pave the way towards new designs we would like to share a video which shows the work of the expert weavers who create these unique pieces.
The throws, made in collaboration with Teixidors have become a Zuzunaga classic.
In this journey that began 10 years ago there are two main protagonists; the traditional wooden loom and the craftsperson who after an extraordinarily creative process transforms the multi-coloured merino wool threads into a piece of art, full of nuances which reflect the individuality of each weaver.
The process is completed by a precise and ecological washing process that brings out the natural properties of the wool, giving birth to a throw made to last over many years.
